A DISTINCT IDENTITY

Who We Are

CPF is a registered Non-Governmental Organization that has a mandate of providing relevant support to children and young people and to create safe spaces and communities where children are free to learn, play and grow.

CPF’s goal is to ensure that our clients as well as their support systems, receive guidance and coaching in an attempt to foster holistic development. One of the ways in which the aforementioned is achieved is through a Homework and Recreational Center.

At the Center, children receive the necessary holistic support and guidance to help them overcome life's challenges so that their purpose is fulfilled.

In the future, The Children of the Promise Foundation plans to establish a Transition Home that would serve at risk youth between the ages of sixteen to twenty-four.

Homework Assistance

CPF currently operates a Homework and Recreational Center at St. Clements Vedic Primary School. The School is situated in the Southern part of Trinidad and Tobago.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 3:30 p.m.  - 5:30 p.m. school aged children between the ages of 6 to 12 are assisted with their homework. Additional literacy and numeracy assistance is also provided for students. CPF's primary target are  under privileged children from high risk communities.

Life skills & Recreation

Life Skills Training and Personal Development sessions are conducted bi-weekly with children who attend the center. Life skills include topics such as bullying, decision-making, peace building, good governance and wellness. Sessions are interactive and provide a safe and nonjudgmental atmosphere for the children to dialogue, learn and grow.

End of Term Celebration

On July 3rd, 2018, CPF ended our first term with a class party. Our Center Coordinator, Ms. Annalene Cummings worked assiduously to ensure the event was a success.

Children, parents, volunteers and school representatives, thoroughly enjoyed the program. Highlights of the event were a mime dance conducted by Minister Bryant Henry and a powerful motivational speech by School Social Worker, Mr. Sule Dyer.

Educational Building Blocks

BB King once said, "The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you".

Throughout the term, children who attended CPF's After School Program were assisted with their homework, literacy and numeracy skills. Volunteers worked passionately and diligently with students to ensure that the foundation of education is securely set in the hope of achieving a bright future.

Recreational Fun!

At CPF we understand that play is the work of a child. As such, it was imperative that recreation was factored into the programming for the Center. CPF hopes that through healthy play, our children would maintain their innocence and have fun while learning.
